The picture I chose to represent this blog is a breakfast stuffed pretzel. Why you may ask? I believe that these pretzels encompass Cookie time Café’s uniqueness and creativity we believe in pushing the envelope and delivering things that aren't commonly sold else ware. We want our customers to share in the eclectic experience that is cookie time cafe.
These pretzels come about after a trip the Dutch County Farmers Market located in Laurel, Maryland. They had many things I was impressed with but one thing stood out among them all and that was the pretzel log. Now I know they'd never give me the recipe but as soon as i got to my home kitchen I Syracuse NY I created my own version. I had to start with pretzel dough. The Dutch County Farmers Market's pretzel had soft dough so mine needed to be soft as well. Also it had to have a nice flavor throughout. I have never made a pretzel but I had made a calzone so I figure they had to be similar right? WRONG, they aren't even close but I did manage to re purpose an old Alton Brown recipe and I went about stuffing with all my favorite breakfast items. I’ve learned a lot about pretzel making. And after a few exploding pretzels I’ve fine-tuned the recipe. This item will definitely be on the menu. If you'd like to order a batch (of 8) contact me down below by hitting the contact me button.
